ROMAN RIDING BY VERA MCGINNIS ELKS RODEO KLAMATH FALLS ORE."
unused Azo (triangles up) real photo postcard from Miller Photo Company in
Klamath Falls, slight oxidation. Circa 1912 - 1914,
the only dates we could find for that rodeo. A pioneer at rodeos, she was
apparently very skillful: we found a mention of her as late as 1925, even
though she obviously did dangerous stunts. Also notable for becoming the
first cowgirl to ever wear pants while rodeoing. Rare. Sold but front
side still available for scholarly study & research as an enlarged 300-dpi scan
(publication quality) in .jpg format for $3.75. co(k)gf
"34X Dell Blancett Bulldogging Round Up, / Pendleton Ore. 'Electric Studio'." showing him in action, unused sepia-tone NOKO real photo post card, tiny corner bend, tiny shallow chip from top edge. Dell married Bertha Kaepernick who gave exhibitions of horse riding; she is probably on the horse shown near to him, because she also served as his hazer during such events. Necessarily before Canada's entry into World War I. $37.50 cgo
"376. Hello Bill." a cowboy with chaps rides what looks like a cross between an elk & a horse down a street, postcard mailed 1913 from Denver Colorado to St. Joseph Missouri, minor wear on one one short edge, cancel ink in the front sky. $7.00 cu
"412. Shooting Up the Towns" with art depicting 3 horse-mounted cowboys firing their guns indiscriminately, post card mailed AUG 29 1909 (clear Waco & Rotan RPD cancel) from someone suggesting an exchange, noticeable corner wear including a small bottom corner creases not into the image, faint but long internal crease, very light toning both sides. $3.25 cg-r
"8022 Cruising for Cattle" with a cowboy on horseback looking out from a high vantage point, signed art with 1908 copyright by the artist R. Torrington Elwell, unused color postcard, pinhole near each corner, a little edge wear near one corner. $4.00 ac

"BONNY GRAY JUMPING 'KING TUT' OVER AUTO, / CHEYENNE FRONTIER DAYS. (DOUBLEDAY) / 1926" sepia-tone SSSS real photo post card, unevenly toned back, slight oxidation consistent with age, trivial corner wear. Also known to have performed the feat at the Los Angeles Roundup. Note the blanket draped over the car underneath the horse. It probably masked the removal of the door there for the safety of both horse & rider. We have seen a sign draped there as well at other locations so it is hardly a coincidence. Rare.
