MILAN ITALY INTERNATIONAL EXPOSITION OF 1894
Scarce--only 30,000 printed

While little known in the US, this exposition encompassed sports, the fine arts, photography, opera, theater, philately, geography, wine, horticulture, the graphic arts, and advertising --as attested by the Italian inscription on this card. Card is unused and in excellent condition. There is a light pencil numbering (1823) in the corner which we believe was how the cards were numbered & accounted for. This is the Reunion Exposition listed in Lowe's 1980 reference at $100.00, but we can offer at $75.00 postpaid. (ei)-

Margherita Di Savoia on an unused, undivided back (circa 1900). Born in Turin in 1851, daughter of the Duke of Genoa, she married Crown Prince Humbert in 1868, and became queen when he succeeded to the throne ten years later. From 1900, she was the queen dowager. Beloved by many of her subjects, she has a commune named after her in the Foggia province on the Adriatic Sea. Post card sold.
