World's
Shortest Railroad Tunnel (supposedly). "Bee Rock Tunnel - 3-C-109 / Shortest
Railroad Tunnel In The World - Big Stone Gap, Va." sepia-tone real photo
postcard mailed 1957 at Olinger Virginia (2 different cancels, plus an older
Bailey VA. postal marking), slight curl to the paper, paper clip indent at
top center with a little rust on the back. A rare postcard, probably because
there are 2 inaccuracies in the caption: located in Appalachia Virginia, not
Big Stone Gap, the tunnel is actually the world's second shortest railroad
tunnel--as any resident of Crandull Tennessee could tell you! When we
searched the Internet, we found no other offers, present or past, and no one
was even exhibiting it. $10.00 v(a)se

"Margaret Ann Robinson /
The World's Smallest Lady / PHOTO ©1935" postcard with her dimensions
hand-printed on back--18 inches high, 18 years old, 16 pounds; light toning
both sides, minor corner wear. Later on March 14 1936 she appeared at the Lewiston
(Maine) Shrine Circus and her dimensions were given as 21 inches tall, 18
years old & 18 pounds, so she was still growing! Also appeared at the 1934
Century of Progress expo & with the Ringling Brothers Circus. The card
is not autographed but still shows a true reproduction of her signature in
the image, that would be useful in authenticating an autograph. SOLD
