"4M0ARV" Isla de Aves 1987 Expedicion shortwave (21 Mhz) QSL viewcard used by operator WB4ZNH, 20th Anniversary logo for Asociación de Radioaficionados de Venezuela on back, verified by YV5EED. Five views (!) in full color show the expedition members posed & in action, and the Venezuelan flag flying over the sand (Dominica has a disputed claim to this tiny island). About the size of a football field, and one of the most desirable QSL locations on the planet, it is sometimes completely submerged by hurricanes. A later expedition, in 2006, required 14 years of planning. Excellent condition. $19.00 vd
"4M171AS" Las Aves de Sotavento 1994 Expedicion shortwave (21 MHA) QSL card on thin stock, logo for Asociación de Radioaficionados de Venezuela in black, marking the 171st anniversary of the Batalla Naval del Logo de Maracaibo y Dia de la Armada de Venezuela, information about the sparsely inhabited islands in Spanish is on the back. $8.00 v
"ARCHIPELAGO DE LOS MONJES / GOLFO DE VENEZUELA / YV5BHI Zona 9" shortwave (28 MHz) QSL viewcard used 1991 by operator Gustavo Issele, misregistered colors that will make you think you are seeing double, small upper corner crease. Radio Club Venezolano label tied to the informative back. Information about the volcanic archipelago disputed by Venezuela and Colombia is provided in Spanish. $8.00 cvv

"Centro Bolivar, en el corazón de la zone comercial de / Caracas, Venezuela. / Bolivar center in the heart of the commercial zone of / Caracas, Venezuela" circa-1956 postcard distributed by Eduardo Arismendi, mailed with 20-centavo stamp to Mrs. Pat Carroll in San Antonio Texas, one upper corner with a lot of wear & a small crease, other corner wear is minor. $1.00 v
"La Guiara(sic), Venezuela" including a few ships prominently, well done home-made (and, hence, unique) post card mailed NOV 25 1963 from Galesburg Michigan, good edges. The name of the port is La Guaira correctly spelled. $2.00 v

MIDAS AIR. Unused continental post card showing its Douglas DC-3C (YV-505C) at Caracas in December 1989, trivial wear to top edge, otherwise fresh. Previously served for Air Liban, Amoco UAR & Miaco. Eventually re-registered as YV-610C for this airline, which explains its scarcity. $7.00 av
"Postkarte mit Nationalflagge // Wert exclusive Courtage / Venezuela" unused Postkarte on pebbled stock with deeply embossed images of 12 different coins circulating in Venezuela circa 1902 (1 centavo, 2 bolivares, 100 bolivares, etc.) & the Venezuelan flag; a few tiny spots of album toning, excellent condition overall. Interesting center table gives 7 different exchange rates for 4 of the coins, meant to help merchants with travelers. Sold but front side still available for scholarly study & research as an enlarged (about 771% of original print area) & enhanced 200-dpi scan in .jpg format. $2.00 nvf

Interesting information about the country & its history fills the message side of the back, a pair of QSL bureau labels over the Radio Club Venezolano datestamp clearly struck in the address area. $3.00 vmq
